SOUP-er Sunday. Start Super Bowl Sunday off with a nice walk with a great bunch of people at Paris Mountain State Park. After a nice walk on a brisk fall day, what is better than a hearty bowl of soup, spicy bowl of Chile or a nice thick stew?

Bring your best and share with the rest! Bring your mouth watering creation in something that can be warmed up on a grill over a fire. The club will provide bowls, spoons, napkins, and salt and pepper. We are also looking for bread to accompany the meal too.

Paris Mountain State Park walk will cover some of the park’s 1,540-acre that is located at the back door to Greenville, nestled in the forested foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The walk is almost entirely on dirt paths/trails and the terrain is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers as it is a bit uneven in many places. Restrooms are available along the walk. This trail is not a typical a “walk in the park” on paved streets with manicured lawns, but this gem in Greenville should not be missed for the nature enthusiasts. Paris Mountain is home to a vast array of wildlife, majestic trees, and spectacular vistas. The park is listed on the National Register of historic places. A number of the park buildings were built by the CCC in the 1930s during the great depression and are a great place to picnic after a nice walk in one of South Carolina’s best parks.
